What are ‘section 24 sewers’?

Many of our older public sewers run at the rear or side of older properties.

They are not always shown on the sewer records that we hold and are commonly affected by extensions.

These sewers are often referred to as ‘section 24 sewers’ and are common in properties built before October 1937.
