How is the rateable value of my property set?

Unmetered charges are based on the rateable value of your property and not the amount of water you use.

We're required by law to use the rateable values last set by the District Valuer’s Office on 31 March 1990.

These values were an assessment of the annual rental value of a property and used to calculate the amount of tax owed.
