Do I have to have a smart meter?

Metered customers

If you are a metered customer, you will have to have a smart meter. We will upgrade your meter when we reach your area. 

You can choose to view your smart data online and access information to help you save water and money. We won’t make any changes to your billing arrangements.

Unmetered customers

If you are an unmetered customer, we will install a smart meter, but you will continue paying unmetered charges.

The smart meter will help us detect leaks at your property. It will also give you the option of easily switching to metered charges if you want to in the future, which could save you money.
