Will you amend my charges if my property is empty?

If your property is unmetered, empty, unfurnished and no water is being used, we will not charge.

If you are moving out and the property is going to be vacant for a period of time, please let us know - you may not have to pay charges from the date the furniture is removed.

If you still require water services or the property is furnished, full charges still apply.

If a property is unoccupied but furnished because you have gone into hospital, residential care or are living with a relative, we will withdraw your water and/or sewerage charges.

Depending on the circumstances, they will be withdrawn for six or 12 months (or a lesser period as agreed with you).

If the property is metered, you will be billed according to your consumption. If no water is used, you will only be billed for standing charges.

In all circumstances, full charges apply if you are renovating the property.
