Can I have a meter if I live in a flat?

If your property shares pipework with other properties, some work may need to be done to ensure that we fit the meter so it only measures your water use and is positioned where we can read it.

We may need to install a device that allows us to read the meter remotely. In some cases it may not be technically possible or economically viable to fit a meter.

If it is not possible to fit the meter outside, we may have to fit it inside your property. If this is the case, we will normally need access to read the meter twice a year.
